We presently care for and offer medical treatment for 440 poor patients both adults and children who are suffering and dying with HIV/AIDS covering all of the Chiang Mai province.We also care for over 375 poor children who have been orphaned with AIDS but not infected themselves, we offer them assistance with school scholarships uniforms,books, and other educational items. We have a kindergarten for 25 orphaned children based in a buddhist temple. Also offer emergency aid to the poor such as food, blankets, used clothing, toiletries ect. We distribute formula baby milk to prevent malnutrition, and prevent new cases of mother to baby transmission of the HIV/AIDS virus. We also sponsor basic cremation services for the very poor throughout the Chiang Mai province, supplying the coffin, flowers, and prayer service at local buddhist temples throughout the province, this service is strictly for the very poor and is done on a case by case approval by Rejoice social workers.
